Involvement of students in all activities of the institute has been a strategic initiative at SIESCOMS with a view to achieve the desired goal of moving towards excellence. There are nine student committees at the institute with clear cut goals and responsibilities. These are in the areas of:
- Academic processes
- Corporate communication
- Placement
- Resource management
- Cultural & sports
- Idea & research
- Community service
- Alumni relation
- Personality development
The activities of each committee are coordinated by a member of faculty. The Best Committee Award has been instituted at the end of the year. In addition there is a “Student Council” that looks after the entire macro-management aspects of the institute. Positions of “Chairperson” and “Deputy Chairperson” have been created through process of democratic election to facilitate student activities.
